Core Responsibilities:

Perform tasks related to promoting systems and techniques assuring the quality of products and services, including the development of plans and programs for achieving and maintain product and service quality through the product/service life cycle

Monitor operations to prevent the production of defects and verify adherence to quality plans and requirements

Analyze and investigate adverse quality trends or conditions and initiations of corrective action

Examine errors or defects within software and systems and determining how those can be resolved

Review design specifications to understand the scope, requirements, and function of the software product

Identify appropriate parameters, functions, and data to test and validate; parameters may include general function, validity of results, accuracy, reliability, and compliance with industry standards

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field

Eight years of related experience required

Ability to create test plans and cases from specifications or verbal communications

Extensive knowledge of software and database testing including designing and manipulating test data

Experience working with quality management systems and tools and techniques, including ISO 9000/9001 and the Malcolm Bridge Quality Award criteria

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to serve as a liaison with developers, project managers, and other team members

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
Work Authorization/Security Clearance: This position requires the employee to be a US Citizen.
Work Environment: Work will be done in an office setting/environment and will need to constantly operate a computer and other office equipment. The person in this role will need to have the ability to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time and occasionally will need to move about inside an office environment. This position frequently communicates with other employees and external stakeholders. The person needs to have the ability to accurately exchange information in these settings.
