Job Description:
The Assistant Parts Manager supports the manager in areas such as purchasing, inventory management, and wholesale parts operations. This role involves backing a team of highly driven parts professionals. The ideal candidate should possess extensive knowledge of automotive parts and accessories, including wholesale operations. Leadership skills are essential for the Assistant Parts Manager to effectively organize, inspire, and ensure daily accountability for each team member's performance within the department.
The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of three years' experience in automotive service and repair within a dealership setting, inclusive of supervisory or managerial roles. Proficiency in communication, leadership, and computer skills is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Assists the manager with the daily operations of the Parts department.
- Oversees Wholesale Parts Operations.
- Coaches, mentors, and trains staff to foster development.
- Ensures achievement of Forecast goals.
- Complies with all federal and state laws, as well as company policies.
- Ensures customer satisfaction in all service areas.
- Manages paperwork, records, and prepares necessary documentation.
- Keeps abreast of all vehicles, accessories, and current promotions.
- Sources accessories or parts and coordinates installation.
- Monitors parts inventory and ensures the storage area is well-maintained.
- Carries out additional duties as required.
Requirements:
- Preferred experience in Automotive Dealership Wholesale
- Proven experience in staff supervision and management
- Demonstrated strong leadership and motivational abilities
- Robust organizational skills with the capacity to multitask and meet shifting deadlines in a dynamic environment
- High level of professionalism and reliability
- Commitment to safety and customer service
- Proficient in computer and internet usage
- Familiarity with CDK considered an advantage
- Exceptional communication, customer service, and problem-solving abilities
