We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our finance team. The AR Clerk will be responsible for managing incoming payments, ensuring that all transactions are accurately recorded, and maintaining up-to-date records of accounts receivable.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Generate and distribute invoices to customers.
- Records and apply payments to customer accounts in a timely manner.
- Verify discrepancies and resolve billing issues.
- Process and record incoming payments by check, credit card, and electronic transfers.
- Reconcile accounts receivable ledgers to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
- Communicate with customers regarding their accounts, resolving any queries or issues.
- Follow up on overdue accounts and ensure timely collection of payments.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interaction and transactions.
- Prepare regular reports on account status, aging, and collections.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all transactions and correspondences.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with other members of the accounting and finance team to support overall financial objectives and initiatives.
REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of recent accounts receivable experience.
- Knowledge and experience working with Sage and/or Service Titan software is highly preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Ability to analyze financial data and resolve discrepancies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive in identifying issues and implementing effective solutions.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and support colleagues as needed.
