Job Description
Reporting directly to the President & CEO and as a member of the hospital’s executive team, this position is responsible for the overall management of designated hospital departments and product lines including development and achievement of the organization’s strategic, financial and operational goals. The SVP participates in the overall development of patient care programs and hospital operations through regular interactions with other members of the executive team, medical staff leadership, board and community members. As the organization’s Chief Nursing Officer, this SVP assumes authority and responsibility for directing and evaluating the hospital’s plan for providing nursing care. The SVP’s scope of authority and responsibility extends to the functions and activities of all Nursing units throughout the hospital, and the establishment and implementation of hospital wide nursing standards in order to meet the primary goal of delivering safe, effective and therapeutic nursing care to individual patients and their families. The SVP is responsible for implementing an effective ongoing program to measure, assess and improve quality of nursing care throughout the hospital.
Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Required)

Master's Degree in health care administration, business administration, or related field (Required)

Master's Degree in Nursing (Preferred)

Eight (8) years of senior nursing management level experience in acute care (Required)

Current Maryland nursing license or eligible (Required)
