ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
In this role you will get to:

Work closely with other County offices in preparation of property assessment files

Partner with customers to effectively provide services needed

Provide support and guidance to professionals across the County as it relates to the Departmental services

Collaborate internally with various team members to identify opportunities to achieve office goals while supporting customers

Retrieve requested documents, review for accuracy and provide copies of such documents and be able to scan documents

Answer phone calls and assist walk-in customers in a professional manner

Correlates records on a weekly basis to ensure that all records are accurate and filed appropriately.

Reviews property transfers for changes in ownership of greenbelt parcels and mails an Application for Greenbelt Assessment to the new owners when necessary.

Perform all general clerical duties and maintain an efficiently operated office

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or GED.
Previous experience and/or training involving title-work, deed creation/preparation and/or underwriting in a legal assistant role and property office work or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
Must possess and maintain a valid Tennessee driver's license.
Incumbents must successfully complete State of Tennessee Division of Property Assessments courses and attend regularly scheduled seminars to remain current on T.C.A. sections applicable to real and personal property appraisal and assessment.
