The CNC Programmer holds a pivotal role in our production activities. You'll collaborate with engineers, production planners, and purchasing agents to ensure smooth production schedules and achieve quality control objectives. Your responsibilities include generating manufacturing methods, planning tooling procurement, and CNC programming.
Responsibilities:
- Program 3, 4, & 5 axis vertical milling machines and CNC lathes using Mastercam Software for various machine functions on moderately complex machined parts.
- Develop manufacturing processes, methods, and production plans for new parts/subassemblies, including complete CNC machine programs, and supervise their implementation.
- Review, redesign, or replace existing operation sheets to enhance quality and productivity.
- Interact with tool suppliers, recommend purchase of new tooling and technology for company applications.
Qualifications:
- Diversified background in machining practices, properties of metals and plastics, and mathematical application to production components and tooling.
- Experience machining Aluminum, Plastic, & Stainless Steel in a production setting.
- Strong drafting skills in machine shop practices and techniques.
- Ability to develop and document manufacturing processes, equipment, and tooling to meet production goals.
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in the field.
- CAD/CAM software expertise required. Working knowledge of Mastercam & SolidWorks preferred.
- Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications is a plus.
