Reports to Director of Finance, Meetings and Operations
The Strategic Account Management Association (SAMA) is a non-profit, knowledge-based networking and educational organization dedicated to the principles and practices of B2B strategic, key and global account management, and the advancement of the SAM profession.
Summary
Serves as the mid-level, day-to-day finance/accounting, operations, and human resources contact which includes overseeing all accounts receivable, billing, revenue (with some expense) reconciliation, administrative HR functions and supports meeting planning and execution.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
The essential duties and responsibilities may include the following. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
Finance/Accounting (75%)
- Responsible for general, daily finance and accounting duties within and outside of QuickBooks; includes but not limited to revenue reconciliation, accounts receivable, collections, posting journal entries, daily deposits, payment processing, billing, analysis, and applicable reporting
- Tracks, crosschecks, and calculates prepaid revenue and keeps supporting documentation to assist in balancing general ledger
- Reconciles and adjusts financial discrepancies
- Administrator for all customer vendor portals and main point of contact for customers’ account payables departments
- Oversees operations expense budgets and provides cost control analysis, includes expense reconciliation for specific functions.
- Assists with yearly budget and annual audit while maintaining relevant compliance and internal controls
- Creates, executes, and enforces financial procedures across departments, which can include establishing and updating pricing hierarchies and providing client and vendor support
- Assists in managing data integrity in relation to financial functions in AMS, event software, and accounting software (Quickbooks).
Operations (10%)
- Works with other departments to create, develop and adopt standard processes throughout the organization to streamline operations
- Manages operational logistics and provides support to organization in all operational related functions at storage unit and remotely.
- Manage/troubleshoot cloud-based communications and phone system (Zoom)
- Manage all supply purchases, equipment, inventory, shipping and storage unit.
- Assists with procurement
Meetings (10%)
- Assists with pre-planning activities to prepare and execute on-site event logistics for Annual Conference.
- Assists with AV budget for Annual Conference.
- Assist with other events as needed.
Human Resources (5%)
- Responsible for daily human resource administrative and clerical functions; includes PTO/attendance tracking within HR software, enforcing policies, maintaining the SAMA Employee Manual and any other related HR programs.
Key Traits and Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree required with at least 2-4 years’ experience in accounting/finance
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office with knowledge of accounting software, and Salesforce is desirable.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
