Job Description
Summary:
This position is responsible for following our menu guidelines to prepare food for our guests. It is a fast-paced environment where our guests expect their food in a timely manner. Cleanliness is a must and the ability to multitask. Each day you will stock your station for your shift, dicing, cutting and mixing will be involved. During service you will be required to make sandwiches that meet our menu guidelines.
This position will also be responsible for prepping meals for our prepared foods case, as well as helping with our Catering orders. We are looking for a creative, self starter who will be motivated to rotate delicious options for our guests in our open air case. This position will require prior experince in the kitchen as we will be providing upscale take home entrees for our guets to reheat at home. These entrees may include, chicken parm, braised meats and salads as examples. We also have a full catering menu available to our guests as well.
We are open 7 days a week from 8am-6pm. 3pm on Sundays. No late nights.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Read tickets
- Prepare sandwiches in a timely manner
- Maintain cleanliness and meet the high standards we put in place.
- It will be your responsibility to make sure the shop is clean and meets all health standards (fridge temps, food storage, food labels, allergens, etc.)
- Must be very organized & have the ability to multi-task
- Possess good communication skills.
- Chopping, braising, following recipes
PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Self-discipline, initiative, leadership ability and outgoing.
- Pleasant, polite manner and a neat and clean appearance.
- Must be able to handle the pressures of simultaneously coordinating a wide range of activities and recommend appropriate solutions to restaurant problems.
Working Conditions
- Ability to perform prepping, packaging, organizing
- Position requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting, lifting products and supplies weighing 45 pounds, and repetitive hand and wrist motion.
- Work with hot, cold, and hazardous equipment as well as operating phones, computers, printers, POS system
Compensation:
Based on qualifications, Ranging from $18-$21 DOE
