As a hair stylist, you will be responsible for providing professional hair care and styling services to clients, catering to their unique preferences and needs. You will leverage your expertise in cutting, coloring, and styling hair to create personalized looks that enhance the clients' natural features and align with their desired aesthetic. Additionally, you will maintain a clean and organized salon environment, adhere to industry regulations, and ensure exceptional customer service for all clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Hair Cutting and Styling: Perform hair cutting, trimming, and styling services, including but not limited to blowouts, updos, and braiding, tailored to each client's specific requests and personal style.
Hair Coloring and Treatment: Apply hair coloring techniques, such as highlights, lowlights, and all-over color, as well as administer hair treatments for conditioning, moisturizing, and repairing damaged hair.
Client Consultation: Conduct thorough consultations with clients to understand their hair care needs, preferences, and lifestyle, and provide expert recommendations and suggestions based on their hair type and desired outcomes.
Maintain Cleanliness: Ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of all hair styling tools, equipment, and workstations, following proper sanitization and disinfection protocols in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
Customer Service: Deliver exceptional customer service by actively engaging with clients, listening to their concerns, and providing a comfortable and welcoming environment during their salon visit.
Product Knowledge: Stay updated on the latest hair care products, treatments, and styling techniques, and recommend appropriate products to clients for at-home maintenance and care.
Appointment Management: Efficiently manage appointments, ensuring timely service delivery, and accommodating walk-in clients when possible, while maintaining a smooth workflow within the salon.
Salon Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized salon space by sweeping and vacuuming hair clippings, washing and sterilizing tools, and ensuring a tidy appearance of the work area and common spaces.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a cosmetology program from an accredited institution is preferred.
Valid cosmetology or hairstyling license issued by the state regulatory board.
Proven experience working as a hair stylist, demonstrating a strong portfolio of previous hairstyles and color treatments.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with diverse clientele.
Comprehensive knowledge of different hair types, textures, and color techniques, as well as proficiency in using hair styling tools and products.
Passion for staying updated with the latest trends in hair styling, coloring, and treatments, and a commitment to continuous learning and skill enhancement.

Pay: Up to $180,000.00 per year
