Manager, Maintenance Field Operations
Role Overview:
Otis Elevator Company is searching for a highly motivated Manager, Maintenance Field Operations to lead service operations activities in the branch. This individual will be responsible for day-to-day management of field staff, employee selection, field training and safety. This individual will also lead operations efforts and priorities to ensure superior customer satisfaction.
On a typical day you will:
- Lead the performance of field operations for all service/maintenance projects
- Maintain project schedules and ensure deadlines are met
- Develop action plans to address deficiencies regarding safety, callback rates, and technical support
- Generate field leads and assist service sales representatives in selling upgrades and repairs
- Recommend and detail changes in maintenance service documentation, methods, process, design, and delivery
- Set budgets for material and labor within Otis guidelines and complete the required maintenance and repair within those budgets
- Conduct field education training ensuring that we create and maintain a safe working environment
- Perform field safety audits, jobsite inspections, and develop site safety/logistics plans
- Coordinate all material deliveries and issuing purchase orders
- Forecast and schedule labor resources, maintaining customer quality assurance, and improving efficiencies
- Develop and maintain professional and productive relationships with co-workers, field employees, clients, and others in contact with the job
Job Responsibilities
- Ensuring field employee safety
- Meeting with customers to ensure obligations and expectations are achieved
- Directing the performance of field maintenance and contractual service operations
- Conducting field education training with field workforce
- Maintaining customer quality assurance; emphasis on safety, managing the expenditure of labor and materials
- Improving efficiencies, managing route schedules and callback rates
- Providing technical support
- Authorizing repair orders and tracking completion
- Managing labor and material investments within budget
- Leading change to better efficiency and communication
Experience / Qualifications
- Experience with leading a team of technicians is preferred.
- Elevator industry is desired, but not required.
- Candidates must have excellent communication skills and leadership skills and be able to work in a highly team-oriented and dynamic environment.
- Self-motivated individuals who have the ability to manage many simultaneous projects and responsibilities are a must.
- Candidates must have strong computer and technology skills, business acumen and a passion for customer service.
Education
- 2-year degree, plus 5 years' experience or 4-year degree, plus 3 years' experience
- High school diploma or equivalent, with a proven technical elevator background (i.e., apprentice, mechanic, adjustor, etc.).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
