GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
The Director of Business Development reports to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and is responsible for the marketing, referral development and public relations of Moody Neurorehabilitation Institute. This working director role is key in the strategic planning of identifying new market opportunities. Top applicants will have clinical experience as a nurse or therapist with success leading a multi-site marketing team.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Promote the facility to develop appropriate census.

Gather market information and utilize it to develop and implement marketing strategy and identify new product opportunities.

Provide supervision and direction to department staff to accomplish organizational goals.

Serve as central repository and disseminator of facility information.

Uphold the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
-
Serve as a resource to help manage relations with funding sources through excellent customer service.

Provide market intelligence that will help facilitate a competitive rate structure and increase client access to the facility.

Maintain the confidentiality of staff and clients in the performance of duties.

Communicate effectively with internal and external constituents.

Ensure effective utilization of organization’s resources when determining promotional and marketing opportunities.
- Oversee web-site and social media outlets for all Moody Neurorehabilitation facilities in accordance with company policies.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Promotion - Implement marketing/referral development plans for Moody Neurorehabilitation Institute including but not limited to:

Direct sales Develop target marketing and market segmentation strategies.
- Supervise clinical liaisons and account managers in their referral development activities.

Educational conferences Implement the plan for attending and sponsoring conferences as conceived and budgeted.

Supervise- , Evaluate and direct activities of Business Development staff for all of Moody Neuro’s locations.

Job descriptions - Ensure accurate and current job descriptions that can be used to fairly evaluate performance and compensation.

Staffing -Ensure adequate number and type of staff to accomplish census goals.
-
Training - Ensure staff are adequately trained to represent the facility well and provide assessments in an accurate and timely manner.

Resources - Ensure staff have extensive knowledge about Moody Neuro’s services, organizational assistance, resources, and collateral materials to achieve success.

Maintain a collaborative environment that encourages transparency and problem-solving skills needed to best meet the needs of our potential patients, referral sources and internal stakeholders.

Budget - Oversee departmental budget during the facility planning cycle with the goals of maximizing the effectiveness our marketing spend while also ensuring appropriate stewardship of our resources.

Service Identify opportunities to engage with relevant industry and community related organizations.

Speaker’s Bureau Develop and manage CEU accreditation process and presentation coordination. Provide CEU presentations upon request. Provide certificates to participants for CEU submission.

Annual report - Provide annual operating results for budgetary review and departmental goals.

Activities reports Provide reports for general staff meeting each month and weekly on current census status against goals.

Salesforce Ensure effective utilization of Salesforce including gathering and analyzing data on referral and admission activity for use in targeting the marketing and sales efforts.

Policies and Procedures Develop, implement and maintain organizational policies and procedures in accordance with CARF and other accrediting or licensing bodies as needed.

Conduct - Discharge duties in accordance with Moody Neurorehabilitation Institute’s organizational policies, CARF standards and other licensing bodies.
- Confidentiality - Maintain staff and client confidentiality with HIPAA compliant disclosure and releases.

Program Development New capacity or capability.

Take initiative and work with key stakeholders to facilitate new or evolving capabilities which will better position Moody Neurorehabilitation Institute in the marketplace. Other duties and requirements

Special events - Coordinate and/or support special events.

Training - Maintain facility required training in CPI.

Other duties - As assigned by CEO.
Minimum Qualifications
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of:
The healthcare industry in general and the brain injury industry specifically.
The philosophy and all aspects of the implementation of the rehabilitation program.
General knowledge of graphic design concepts, art, layout and mechanical and printing techniques are helpful.
Skills and abilities:
Business skills including information systems, marketing, sales, customer service, personnel management, standards compliance, strategic planning and market analysis.
Ability to prioritize and organize with minimum supervision.
Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
Education:
Minimum of bachelor's degree; Master’s Degree preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of five years’ experience in healthcare marketing and referral development. Experience in the brain injury field and management experience preferred.
