The professional responsible for greeting, seating and serving restaurant guests is known as the host or host. The person in this position must have excellent customer interaction skills, be able to work in a fast-paced environment, handle cash transactions and multi-task with ease. The host or host is also responsible for monitoring the dining room to ensure a pleasant experience for guests and coordinate the servers so that customers' needs are met in a timely manner.
Responsibilities:
- Seat guests and take orders for drinks and food.
- Know how to polish silverware and glassware.
- Follow restaurant dress code.
- Be polite to customers and make them feel welcome.
- Handle complaints from customers.
- Adhere to food safety regulations.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $10.50 - $12.00 per hour
