ABOUT PRIDE:
ABEDI Inc.’s PRIDE Adult Day Program is a growing Community-based day program in a 1:2 ratio, and Employment Services in a 1:1ratio, that continuously aims to make a difference in the adults we service in our community. As a Direct Support Professionals, it is our goal to support the adults we serve by improving individuals’ wellbeing and creating a positive rewarding environment in the community and/or employment positions. Supporting participants on vocational skills, social skills, and person-centered skills and goals for the individuals in the program.
Who we are looking for:
PRIDE is looking for motivated, understanding, adaptable, caring, and responsible individuals to join the PRIDE Day Program. As a Direct Support Professional, you will support our participants in becoming independent in the community and gaining vocational and/or employment experience by working on individually tailored goals. No experience is required or necessary, we offer online and hands-on training for our Direct Support Professionals.
Direct Support Professional Responsibilities:
· Ability to provide Person-Centered services to our participants to help build and support their social skills, vocational skills, volunteer sites and/or employment positions.
· Ability to supervise our participants with developmental disabilities with safety awareness and self-care assistance with an outgoing, positive attitude to help motivate persons served in our day program.
· Ability to record data collection regarding their skills and goals that are part of the individuals service plans.
· Ability to be flexible, and reliably manage potential maladaptive behaviors in the community.
· Must have reliable Transportation to take our participants into the community. Daily sites and activities include; Employment Sites, volunteer sites, local events, and sites to work on goals/skills for each participant.

Requirements:
- All drivers must be 23 years old or older with a clean driving record and current vehicle insurance.
- High School Diploma
- Ability to pass DOJ (Department of Justice) Live scan background check/fingerprints.
- Valid CA Driver’s License as well as another form of ID (Social Security Card and/or Passport)
- CPR/FIRST Aide Certification
- Experience working with individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Must be comfortable working through challenging behaviors.

Pay: $18.50 - $19.35 per hour
