**Job Overview:**
We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately billing patients, insurance companies, and maintaining patient records in compliance with medical coding regulations.
**Duties:**
- Review and verify accuracy of billing data and revise any errors
- Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies
- Follow up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycle timeframe
- Utilize medical coding systems such as ICD-9, ICD-10, and DRG to assign appropriate codes
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance guidelines and regulations
- Handle patient inquiries regarding billing issues or concerns
- Collaborate with medical staff to clarify diagnoses or obtain additional information
**Qualifications:**
- Previous experience in medical billing or related field
- Proficiency in medical office procedures, including coding and terminology
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems
- Strong understanding of medical collection practices
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Knowledge of ICD-9, ICD-10 coding systems
- Experience with medical records management
- Understanding of DRG (Diagnosis Related Group) coding
- Proficiency in medical billing software systems
