Witty Learning Center is seeking a qualified assistant teacher to care for 5 children, facilitate an organized education and make a difference in the lives of the children, their families and the communities we serve. A preschool teacher must have a great love and patience for children. The goal is to contribute to the child's healthy mental and emotional development so that he or she can more easily acclimate to the next level of education.
Responsibilities
- Actively supervise a group of 5 children to ensure safety.
- Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, media etc.) to teach children and follow the Curriculum Implementation.
- Safety First: Always prioritize a safe and nurturing environment where children are protected and can thrive.
- Family communication: help teachers regularly update parents on their children's progress and milestones, leveraging a combination of mobile apps and in-person discussions.
- Collaboration hub: Be a team player. Collaborate with center staff and leadership to drive retention, enrollment and engagement goals.
- Relationship builder: cultivate warm relationships with families and colleagues, fostering an environment where learning and play coexist effortlessly.
- Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards
Skills
- Proven experience as a Preschool Teacher
- Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms
- Excellent communication and instructional skills
- Balance between a creative mind and a practical acumen
- Certification in child CPR and First Aid (Required)
- DCF 45 Hour Child Care Credential (Required)
- DCF Level 2 Background Screening
