Summary:
This is a 9-month faculty position with a split appointment with 50% teaching and 50% research Tenure status of position is negotiable based on qualifications. Opportunity will be available for summer appointments in the initial stages of the career.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Teach Food Science courses including, Food Chemistry, Food Product Development, Food Quality, Sensory Science and related courses at undergraduate and graduate levels.

Develop a multidisciplinary independent research program related to Food Science/Chemistry/Product Development/Quality via generation of extramural research funds participate in interdisciplinary research activities in food science/sensory science.

Assist/advise undergraduate and graduate students.

Serve on committees as assigned.

Participate in student recruitment and retention activities

Execute any other duties and responsibilities that are assigned by the department chairperson.
Minimum Position Requirements (including years of experience, certifications, licenses, etc.):

Earned Doctorate degree in Food Science.

Must have an outstanding history of publication and grantsmanship.
