Human Resources Assistant at NAICO compiles and maintains personnel and benefits information and records in an accurate and orderly manner, and provides clerical support and assistance to members of the Human Resources Department, while maintaining strict confidentiality. Requires strong customer services skills to assist employees and the public. MUST be available to work Monday - Friday 8-5. No remote or hybrid schedule available.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Provides clerical support for the Human Resources Department as needed, such as inputting data, answering inquiries, maintenance of employee records, etc.
- Assists new employee as needed, with their new hire paperwork.
- Coordinates company insurance to include: informing employees of coverage, procedures, changes and enrollment; assisting employees with questions concerning benefits and problem claims.
- Completes all medical, dental, and life insurance changes monthly.
- Reconciles medical insurance billing and life insurance billing monthly.
- Responsible for orderly maintenance of all personnel records; compiles and maintains information such as personal data, compensation, benefits, attendance, performance review and job status.
- Ensures that all information required for effective payroll administration is entered into the payroll system in a timely manner.
- Answers inquiries from outside or inside the company, according to company policy, such as employment verification, job openings, etc; provides personnel information to authorized management personnel.
- Reviews incoming applications and forwards them to appropriate departments.
- Administers employment tests, obtains references on job candidates and sets up interviews as requested.
- Covers switchboard as needed.
EDUCATION:
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and one to two years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
SKILLS:
Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, and computer skills (specifically Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe) and clerical skills.
