JOB SUMMARY:
The Human Resource Generalist will run the daily functions of the HR department including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- PAYROLL - Works closely to ensure timely and accurate bi-weekly payroll processing for employees. Manages the process for unemployment claims, garnishments, and other special deductions. Fix any Payroll system issues for employees.
- EMPLOYEE RELATIONS - Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related matters, such as performance management, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution. Oversee employee handbook updates and recommendations.
- BENEFITS - Administer and oversees benefits programs using the ADP Workforce System and working to ensure ACA compliance.
- REPORTING - Prepare and maintain standard and ad hoc reports, queries, and conduct appropriate audits to ensure data integrity; keeps accurate records of payroll transactions. Other reporting projects include employee turnover and benefit enrollments.
- RECRUITING - Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings. Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications. Assist with adding and removing staff within the ADP system, as well as onboarding and scheduling.
- BENEFITS – Manage Employee Benefits, PTO, Health insurance enrollment/deletion, - Coordinate open enrollment changes, and training for employee benefits programs. Create and distribute internal communications regarding status changes, benefits, or company policies.
- COMPLIANCE ISSUES - Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal and state employment law and compliance requirements. Ensures best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance. Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- EMPLOYEE RELATIONS - Process complaints regarding sexual harassment, discrimination, or other instances of workplace harassment and assist in any necessary investigations and disciplinary actions. Maintain employee personnel records. Conduct exit interviews and recommend corrective action if necessary. Monitor employee morale and company culture.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
· Proficiency with the ADP Workforce System
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
· At least 5 years of Human Resource Management experience preferred.
· Experience with creating a culture of engagement, collaboration and teamwork.
· SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP), or PHR is desired however not required if knowledge has been acquired through experience.
We provide a generous and competitive compensation package our HR Generalist. This is a full-time position, with a 9-5 schedule and performed in our HQ office.

Pay: $70,000 - $85,000 per year
