Billing/Collection Specialist Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of Home Health Care Billing/Collection experience preferred, but training is available for the right candidate
- Must have strong communication, problem solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and adapt to a fast changing environment
- Working knowledge of PC, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook required
- Prior experience in HHA eXchange preferred, but willing to train
- Must have attention to detail with an eye for accuracy
- Creative, self-disciplined and capable of identifying and completing critical tasks independently and with a sense of urgency
- Billing/Collection Specialist Responsibilities:
- Perform weekly billing with the contracted insurance companies
- Handle all outstanding balance amounts
- Monitor AR report and follow up on the status of pending claims
- Respond to claim denials according to the contract regulated procedures
- Make outbound collection communications with the agency's contracts in a professional manner
- Collect contract payments in accordance with claim payment due dates
- Resubmit and/or appeal underpaid/unpaid claims as appropriate
- Review and direct assigned accounts and all applicable collection reports
- Report to the company's management on the status of payment resolutions

- Payroll Specialist Qualifications:
- Initiate new employee accounts by entry into payroll database
- Enter weekly hours for each employee into payroll software and transmit to payroll company.
- Review and ensure payroll edit are correct prior to distribution of paychecks.
- Provide follow-ups and payroll explanation as requested.
- Maintain employee garnishee account information: researching, sending out letters, recording payments and entering final payments.
