TheHighlights:
You will make an impression on our customers’ shopping experience by performing all customer service functions according to established procedures. Your role will include assisting customers during checkout, performing all cash register functions and box orders, and occasionally working at the customer service desk. Additionally, you will work to maintain attractive Customer Service displays and support the Customer Service vision. You will ensure a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient customer service to customers and team members.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Give every customer immediate and undivided attention.
- Follow through on all customer questions and requests.
- Keep department supplies filled and maintained.
- Keep the register area clean and well-stocked.
- Notify the immediate Supervisor of any errors in retail pricing or signage.
- Be aware of new products and their placement.
- Practice safe use of all tools and equipment required by the position.
- Practice proper care and maintenance of all equipment.
- Know and practice proper lifting techniques.
- Report safety violations and hazards immediately.
- Effectively communicate with all Team Members
- Adhere to cleaning and maintenance schedules.
- Answer telephones with proper etiquette.
- Assist other departments when necessary.
- Walk to the front portion of the warehouse to facilitate product identification.
- Operate a cash register and tally customer purchases.
- Swiftly and accurately count down and organize the cash register at the end of the shift.
- Bag/box products and gather shopping carts.
- Regular attendance is essential.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Other Duties & Responsibilities:
- Fill in for other Cashiers when needed for breaks, lunches, days off, and vacations.
- Answer phones and assist customers with placing an order.
- Data entry as needed.
Position Requirements:
- Must be able to work am/pm shifts, occasional weekends, in high volume, fast-paced office environment.
- Excellent communication skills
- Attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
- Will require prolonged standing, walking, squatting, and bending.
- Ability to lift to 50lbs.
- Must be able to withstand varying temperatures in a warehouse environment.
- Must know MS Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Experience in a wholesale distribution environment with Sage MAS100 experience is preferred.
- Maintain a Team friendly, energetic demeanor always. Dependability, reliability, and teamwork necessary
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
Education Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Associate or Bachelor of Science in Supply Chain Management
- 3-5 Years’ experience in Wholesale Distribution inventory management
