Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Customer Service Representative who is eager to grow with our fast-growing portable toilet, septic, and roll-off dumpster business. This role involves managing customer interactions, addressing service inquiries, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will also demonstrate leadership potential and the ability to transition into an Operations Manager role, overseeing daily operations and contributing to the strategic growth of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service Representative Duties:
- Handle inbound and outbound customer calls and emails.
- Provide information about products and services, including pricing and availability.
- Address and resolve customer complaints and service issues promptly and professionally.
- Process customer orders for portable toilets, septic services, and roll-off dumpsters.
- Coordinate with the operations team to schedule deliveries, pickups, and service calls.
- Ensure accurate and timely order entry and follow-up.
- Generate and send invoices to customers.
- Process payments and manage accounts receivable.
- Address billing inquiries and discrepancies.
- Maintain and update customer records in the company database.
Potential Operations Manager Duties:
- Operational Oversight:
- Supervise daily operations of portable toilet, septic, and roll-off dumpster services.
- Schedule and coordinate the delivery, pickup, and servicing.
- Ensure efficient route planning and logistics management.
- Team Leadership:
- Manage and support drivers, service technicians, and administrative staff.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide training and development opportunities.
- Have a positive and productive work environment.
- Inventory and Equipment Management:
- Monitor and manage inventory levels of equipment and supplies.
- Coordinate maintenance and repairs to ensure operational readiness.
- Implement asset tracking and management systems.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.
- Develop and enforce safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular safety training and inspections.
- Customer Relations:
- Maintain strong relationships with key customers and address any escalated service issues.
- Implement strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Financial Management:
- Assist in preparing and managing the operational budget.
- Monitor expenses and identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Support pricing strategies and contract negotiations.
- Reporting and Analysis:
- Generate and analyze reports on operational performance and key metrics.
- Provide insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Identify areas for operational improvement.
- Strategic Planning:
- Collaborate with senior management on long-term operational strategies.
- Identify opportunities for business growth and service expansion.
- Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; degree in business administration, Management, or a related field is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a customer service role, waste management or sanitation industry is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in customer service software and Microsoft Office.
- Demonstrated leadership potential and interest in advancing to an operations management role.
Working Conditions:
- Full-time position
- Requires flexibility and availability for emergency response and operational issues outside of normal business hours.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
