Compensation: Approximately $63,187.93 - $73,252.13 annually. All individual pay rates are calculated based on the candidate's experience and internal equity.
Provide effective and timely training of new clinical and operational staff on the electronic health record and practice management systems. Serve as a resource in on-going support of staff using these systems. Assist in the implementation of new modules and upgrades and assure a smooth transition to these new systems. Provide first line support for the routine operation of EPM, EHR, and EDR systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordination and completion of training of new clinical and operational staff on the EHR and practice management systems (including Providers, Nurses, MAs, BHPs, CMs, and Dental staff).
- Serves as an on-going resource to clinic staff in using the EHR, Clinica Patient Portal, and practice management systems.
- Create and maintain a training library for reference materials for staff.
- Provides tier 1 level support for all NextGen users including password resets, user setup/deactivations, and other general issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with EPM, EHR, and EDR. Refer calls beyond technical scope to EPM, EHR, and EDR managing partners or vendors.
- Serve as the liaison between staff and vendors for reported issues. Triage support requests to appropriate team members or to external resources.
- Assists in the evaluation and implementation of new modules, maintaining functionality and testing new functionality.
- Serves as liaison for IT to assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues.
- Builds relationships with our external vendors in order to facilitate training and implementation of upgrades and new modules.
- Collaborates with the process improvement team to align training, projects and quality improvement in order to assist the organization in execution of the strategic plan.
- Conducts Clinical Patient Portal training with new clinical staff and supports ongoing Clinica Patient Portal work related to new functionality. Assists with Clinica Patient Portal back-end configuration and maintenance system settings.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
- 4-year degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
- Two years relevant healthcare experience, preferably in an outpatient care setting.
- Two years hands on experience with healthcare related IT desired.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Understanding of personal computer software and hardware in the Windows operating environment is required.
- NextGen experience is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in training people.
- Experience in medically related area and practice management systems highly desired.
- Ability to communicate clearly at all organizational levels.
- Ability to handle diverse, varying activities.
- Ability to plan, prioritize and organize work for maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
- Comfortable working under time pressures and diplomatically managing stress related to tense employee interactions.
