Elite Insurance Partners is seeking an experienced Licensing and Contracting Specialist to join our team. The role requires a highly organized individual to strictly follow predefined processes, manage numerous tasks simultaneously, and ensure communication between agents and carriers. As a Licensing and Contracting Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring that EIP and our licensed agents remain up to date with regulatory carrier and state requirements. Your ability to prioritize tasks and pivot when needed will be vital to excel in this role. With your help, we'll streamline our operations and ensure that both EIP and our agents possess the necessary credentials to serve our clients effectively.
Responsibilities:
Licensing Management:
- Monitor and track the licensure status of all licensed agents.
- Ensure that agents meet the licensing requirements in each key state they operate.
- Coordinate the renewal of licenses as needed.
- Keep up to date with state-specific licensing regulations and requirements in the Medicare industry.
Contracting and Carrier Relations:
- Establish and maintain relationships with insurance carriers and understand their contracting processes.
- Ensure that all agents are contracted with the necessary insurance carriers.
- Facilitate the contracting process and assist agents in completing necessary paperwork.
- Resolve any contracting-related issues with carriers in a timely manner.
- Adapting to new carrier processes and updating current internal documentations
Agent Onboarding and Offboarding:
- Collaborate with the HR team to onboard new agents, providing them with the necessary information and resources for licensing and contracting.
- Coordinate training, paperwork submission, and any additional requirements to expedite the licensing process for new agents.
- Verify that new agents are compliant with our licensing and contracting procedures.
- Communicate with carriers to process termination requests.
Communication and Support:
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure that agents have the necessary resources and support to meet their obligations.
- Assist the team with troubleshooting requests related to carrier and licensing concerns.
- Assist with various administrative and operational tasks related to the position as needed.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in the Health and/or Life insurance industry.
- In-depth knowledge of licensing requirements and processes in the Health and/or Life insurance industry.
- Familiarity with insurance carrier contracting procedures.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
