Job Title: Bookkeeper

SUMMARY:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Bookkeeper with expertise in handling financial matters related to construction projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Quickbooks software. This role will play a crucial part in ensuring accurate financial reporting and seamless coordination with the project management team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Financial Data Management: Utilize Quickbooks to manage all financial aspects of construction projects, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and job cost accounting.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with project managers to create and monitor project budgets, ensuring they align with financial goals and project objectives. Provide accurate financial forecasts and identify potential risks or opportunities.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable: Oversee the processing of invoices, purchase orders, and payments to subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers. Ensure timely collections from clients and manage billing discrepancies.
- Job Cost Analysis: Monitor job costs, expenses, and revenues throughout the project lifecycle. Conduct regular cost analyses to identify deviations and take corrective actions to maintain profitability.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, project profitability reports, and cash flow projections. Present financial information to management, highlighting key performance indicators and potential financial risks.
- Project Auditing: Collaborate with auditors during internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations related to construction accounting processes.
- Compliance and Regulation: Stay updated with industry accounting standards and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Implement best practices for construction accounting processes.
- Software Training and Support: Assist team members in understanding and effectively using Sage software. Provide training sessions to enhance the team's proficiency in utilizing the accounting software.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, enhance efficiency, and reduce errors. Implement improvements to increase accuracy and productivity.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
