Areas of Responsibility / Tasks
- General Policy
- Mold & test plastic specimens.
- Provide production process support when required; Confidence to shut down an extruder when a quality concern makes it necessary.
- Support manufacturing by assisting with re-work, formulation, SPC reaction plan adjustments and SOC changes as necessary to produce product within specification.
- Prepare data for lot certifications and enter SPC data from off-line testing.
- Prepare customer samples as requested for external testing and customer shipment.
- Perform in-process color sample preparation, measurement and pigment adjustments where necessary.
- Maintain/improve laboratory cleanliness & organization.
- Laboratory equipment PM’s and verifications.
- Support receiving staff with raw material inspection, testing and approval.
- Train, coach, assist and verify manufacturing personnel to be able to properly perform in-process product inspections.
- Follow all Quality, Safety and Environmental Procedures.
- Apply the 7S for Success standards to the work areas and all tasks.
- Uphold the Code of Conduct standards.
- Other duties as assigned by the Quality Manger.
Minimum Qualifications/ Education / Experience / Certifications
- Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent - required
- 1-2 years of work experience in a manufacturing environment (plastic experience preferred).
- Experience:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, and Excel.
- Ability to manage time, organize, and set priorities.
- Forklift license required.
