At World Book, we invest in extraordinary, diverse, talented, and passionate individuals to help us in our mission to spark imagination, cultivate curiosity, and empower education in young learners across the globe.
We are seeking a Curriculum Designer to join our team.
Who We Are
An industry leader in both print and digital educational publishing, World Book delivers engaging content to equip students, parents, and teachers with the tools they need to reach academic success. We first launched the World Book Encyclopedia in 1917 and, since then, have expanded to produce nonfiction and mixed-genre children’s books, reference materials, digital learning platforms, teaching guides, and more—all upholding the same standard of innovation, trustworthiness, and readability upon which we were founded.
We recognize that equal opportunities for education can make all the difference in a child’s path. With our market-leading and award-winning digital and print products, you will be an integral part of our 100+-year mission to develop a passion for lifelong learning in every person we reach. In this role, you will interact with educators in schools and libraries as well as business leaders and organizations that share our vision.
We are looking for a highly motivated Curriculum Designer to support the Editorial team as World Book continues its strategic expansion from the reference space into the classroom. This hands-on position will involve creating detailed and engaging content and resources, such as lesson plans and other instructional materials, to support students and educators. Key duties will include coordinating the development of new materials, adapting existing reference materials to meet classroom needs, and supporting the development of classroom-focused digital products.
This role offers a unique opportunity, with the challenge of helping to shape the future of World Book’s instructional content. The curriculum designer will be tasked with creating materials that help educators better leverage World Book products and reduce time spent developing materials so they can get back to what they do best: engaging and teaching their students. A passion for education and understanding how digital technology has reshaped learning is vital in this role.
