A Day in the Life:
The LPN or RN delivers safe, compassionate, and high-quality resident care under the supervision of healthcare leaders, adhering to regulatory standards and guidelines. They provide direct nursing care and oversee all resident care processes.
LPN or RN Responsibilities:
- Provide direct medical and personal care according to physician orders and professional standards
- Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments at shift changes and as needed
- Review resident care plans regularly to ensure adherence to physician orders
- Administer nursing interventions following established protocols
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EHR)
- Supervise certified nursing assistants and offer support as necessary
- Ensure compliance with policies and procedures in all assigned tasks
- Communicate patient status to supervisors and physicians, keeping families informed of changes
- Collaborate with healthcare team to optimize resident health and quality of life
- Foster a positive environment respecting resident rights and privacy
- Attend departmental meetings, in-services, and training sessions
- Support nursing department in financial objectives through resourceful utilization
- Adhere to infection control practices and safety procedures consistently
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum of an Associates Degree in Nursing
- Unencumbered and current Commonwealth of LPN or RN License
- Current CPR/Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification, provided if needed
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimal 6 months experience as a direct care nurse in an acute care or long-term care setting
- Cardiopulmonary nursing and/or ventilator experience
- Pediatric and/or long-term care experience

Shifts Available:
- 1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- 2nd Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Some variances to schedule should be expected.
