POSITION SUMMARY:
Join us in our new restaurant! We are looking for passionate and talented cooks to join our team and bring our vision to life. The cook will prep food and prepare dishes, including hot entrees, to specifications in an accurate and timely manner to provide guests with a quality product.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide exceptional customer service at all times.
- Provide safe and wholesome food for our guests.
- Prepares food according to standard recipes and specifications.
- Comply with Indian Health Service (IHS), Wisconsin Health Code, and Food & Drug Administration (FDA) regulations pertaining to food service center’s health and cleanliness standards.
- Ensure a sanitary and organized work area.
- Ensure proper care, storage, use and cleaning of all tools and equipment.
- Ensure proper labeling and storage of all foods.
- Prevent cross-contamination at all times.
- Maintain good personal hygiene at all times.
- Safeguarding of casino assets.
- All other duties as assigned.
UNIFORM:
- Clean professional attire (when applicable casino issued attire).
- Sokaogon Gaming Commission (SGC) issued Gaming License/ID Badge.
- Hair (including beards) must be completely covered by the use of a hair net or cap.
- Use of gloves whenever applicable.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Two forms of ID, one of which must be a photo ID.
- Must submit to and pass a drug and alcohol test per Sokaogon Gaming Enterprise Corporation (SGEC) Drug and Alcohol Policy.
- Must pass a Background Investigation.
- Ability to understand and respond to written order and recipes.
- Physically able to perform all aspects of the position.
- Ability to correctly lift and transport objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work flexible time periods as required.
- Ability to portion, prepare and present meat, poultry and fish entrees, pastas, and vegetables.
- Ability to use knives, other hand-held instruments and other food preparation equipment.
- Successfully completed a 60-day probationary period.
- Must have reliable means of transportation to and from work.
- Must be able to interact well with the public and co-workers.
- Native American preference is granted according to P.L. 93-638.
