PROVEN Management is currently seeking an experienced accounting professional with expertise in GAAP and government contracting accounting. The ideal candidate must demonstrate proficiency in Paychex, QuickBooks, and Microsoft Excel. The successful candidate will be responsible for accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and HR-related accounting functions. A minimum of ten years of applied experience with payroll, specifically using Paychex and QuickBooks, is required, with preference given to individuals with experience in the Service Contract Act or collective bargaining. This is a remote position with potential for career advancement.
Responsibilities:
1. Financial Reporting: Ensure compliance with GAAP standards and prepare accurate and timely financial reports.
2. Human Resource Functions: Oversee HR-related tasks, including employee onboarding, benefits administration, and compliance with employment laws and regulations.
3. Payroll Management: Process payroll accurately and in a timely manner, including managing deductions, benefits, and tax reporting.
4. Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development and monitoring of budgets, as well as preparing financial forecasts.
5. Compliance: Ensure adherence to GAAP guidelines, as well as federal and state regulations related to human resources and payroll.
Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in GAAP accounting, human resources, and payroll administration.
- Strong knowledge of HR practices, including benefits administration, employment laws, and employee relations.
- Proficiency in financial software and payroll systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and payroll processing.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
