MJ Takisaki is a General Contractor looking for a Construction Project Engineer to join our team!
The ideal Project Engineer candidate will have a good understanding of construction processes and procedures. The Project Engineer must be an effective communicator, able to multi-task, be organized, and be a team player.
Responsibilities for a Construction Project Engineer include the following:
- Prepare bidder’s list and bid invitations by reviewing project documents.
- Request and evaluate bids.
- Prepare and submit project submittals.
- Prepare and submit RFI's.
- Assist the Project Manager with subcontract documents including issuing subcontracts, change orders, and requesting company information.
- Assist the Superintendent with paperwork or at the jobsite as needed.
- Ability to mark-up PDFs to create electronic as-built documentation.
- Take meeting minutes and distribute.
- Participate in jobsite meetings as necessary.
- Manage change orders to subcontractors.
- Project closeout, including preparing O&M manuals, scheduling training, as-builts.
Essential Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the construction industry.
- Must be organized, able to multi-task, detail-oriented, and a problem-solving team player.
- Demonstrated experience as a team leader.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to read and comprehend construction documents such as plans and specifications.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Project).
- Proficient with BlueBeam.
