Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the Warehouse Lead – Finished Goods will be responsible for the daily activities regarding all finished goods warehouse operations. He/she will coordinate scheduling of warehouse work teams, and manage all outbound shipping and warehouse storage activities. Additionally, this position will serve as the subject matter expert / local key user for Nokian Tyres’ finished goods warehouse management system. This position is based in our Dayton, TN location.
Responsibilities

Ensure accurate inventory counts and proper stock rotation within the finished goods warehouse.

Work with other logistics departments relative to scheduling and shipping outbound freight.

Train other warehouse personnel on all activities related to their assigned area.

Perform all routine warehouse tasks as required to meet daily operational demands.

Assist the Logistics Manager with KPI development and tracking.

Work as a collaborative member of the Company’s global Logistics team; contributing to the creation and continual improvement of uniform finished good warehouse processes.

Represent North American region in global WMS projects; supports the system planning, testing and continuous improvement activities.

Serve as regional Key User for the Nokian Tyres finished goods WMS.

Uphold Nokian mission and values, and demonstrate supporting behaviors in day-to-day actions.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required
-
Associate’s degree or higher from an accredited institution of higher learning preferred
-
5+ years previous experience working within warehouse / distribution center environment

1+ year experience as team leader, including scheduling and coordination of team’s daily work tasks

Understanding of basic warehouse operations processes

Must possess valid forklift operator license

Previous experience working with WMS systems required

Ability to suggest and drive systems and process improvements

Ability to work well in a matrixed team environment

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States - this position will not offer relocation or visa sponsorship

Must be able to communicate effectively in an environment with continual noise, requiring the ability to hear, understand and communicate work instructions and directions while wearing company provided hearing protection
