The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) is the state agency that focuses solely on policies, programs, and services for people with mental health challenges, substance use disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities, or any combination of these. As Georgia’s public safety net, DBHDD operates six field offices and five hospitals throughout the state within three program areas: behavioral health, developmental disabilities and hospital services.
The main office for DBHDD is located in downtown Atlanta.

Job Description, Responsibilities, Standards, and Qualifications
The physical address for this position is in Atlanta, GA
Under general supervision, perform a wide range of office administration duties for assigned functions or program areas, duties may be complex in nature and may involve access to confidential information. May research, investigate, and/or resolve program data or issues. Provides information and assistance to stakeholders.
Summary of essential job functions
§ Manage Expenditures: Complete requisitions, Purchase Card transactions, and reconciling. Maintain records.
§ Manage SORRB Contact Emails/Mail: Review emails and process those within area of knowledge and experience or forward to appropriate personnel. Process emails and calls forwarded by upper management. Process mail.
§ Complete Monthly Process for Classifications: Create list of counties for offenders and enter current address in database. Print envelopes and mail letters for all monthly classified offenders leveled as a 1, 2, SDP or Re-Evaluation. Point of contact for SORT updates and entry of offender classification.
§ Offender Data Entr/Updates: Enter new offenders into database. Update information for existing offenders. Enter received documentation for offenders. Pull records as instructed from stakeholder databases and upload to SORRB database.
§ Office Maintenance: Contact Georgia Building Authority for any structural/heating issues within the office or common areas. Ensure office is always functioning and in order. Inventory office supplies and staff needs.
§ Website Maintenance: Keep website updated with Board meeting calendar, agenda, and minutes. Review for needed updates and changes.
§ Other supports / duties for the team as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma/GED and three (3) years of job-related experience or one (1) year of experience required at the lower-level Admin Assistant 1 (GST050) or position equivalent.
