Occupational Therapist (OT)-F2F & Virtual
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Occupational Therapist provides occupational therapy (OT) services to students as indicated in their Individualized Education Program (IEP). This includes conducting evaluations, assessments, analyzing data, writing reports, and determining the strengths and areas of concern or need in fine and gross motor skills, perceptual, cognitive, and sensory integration, and activities of daily living to assist students in accessing their educational program.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and monitor IEP goals per students’ needs
- Provide OT services to assigned students in a school-based setting, develop and practice by planning activities individualized for the skill level of the students to target goal-specific skills identified in the IEP
- Provide direct OT services through individual OT sessions and a collaborative model of consultation with the case manager, parent, and other related service providers (IEP Team)
- Participate in data review Pre-IEP and IEP meetings by identifying skill deficits, recommending assessment needs, consulting with, and assisting the IEP team, including teacher, clinicians, parents, school personnel, in the development of the OT goals
- Writes evaluation reports if required identifying the student’s needs and proposed treatment strategies; writes individual student goals and objectives as part of the IEP; maintains progress records.
- Documents treatment plans, IEP Goal, narratives progress notes intervention treatment evaluations, treatment plan reviews, and so forth; and maintains students records and charts in accordance with organizational regulatory accreditations and contractual standards.
- Adhere to Attain ABA and school established timelines relating to all required documentation
- Adhere to laws, policies, procedures, and ethical standards of the State Board of Occupational Therapy Education and Licensure
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Graduate of an accredited university with a Master’s degree.
- Occupational therapist license in state of employment.
- Must have current, valid driver’s license in state of residence, and acceptable driving record.
- Must adhere to and complete all requested ongoing CEUs, training, and certification renewals.
