What we are looking for | The Role: Retail Order Processing Associate
Join our dynamic team as a Retail Order Processing Associate, where you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless operations within our Product Operations department. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for efficiently managing the processing of customer orders from initiation to fulfillment. Your attention to detail and commitment to accuracy will be instrumental in maintaining customer satisfaction and driving our business forward.

This role will be responsible for reviewing, executing and verifying on all orders from retailers. They will review customer orders and coordinate with internal departments and warehouses for inventory management on product availability, pricing, shipping information and order fulfillments. They will be the center of communication for all products and orders serving as a dedicated resource and liaison for issue resolution between internal and warehouse teams.
A Day in the Life | Key Responsibilities:
- Order Processing: Receive, review, and process incoming orders from retailers promptly and accurately using our designated order management system.
- Order Verification: Verify order details including product codes, quantities, pricing, and shipping addresses to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with the inventory team to ensure sufficient stock availability for fulfilling orders.
- Order Fulfillment: Coordinate with warehouse personnel to prioritize order fulfillment, packaging, and shipping in adherence to established timelines.
- Quality Control: Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for quality and compliance per company standards.
- Communication: Maintain clear and timely communication with retailers regarding order status, product availability, shipment tracking, and any potential issues or delays.
- Issue Resolution: Address and resolve order discrepancies, shipping errors, or other issues promptly and professionally, collaborating with internal teams and external partners as needed.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of orders, invoices, shipping documents, and other relevant information in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Process Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to streamline order processing workflows, improve efficiency, and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and contractual obligations related to order processing, data privacy, and confidentiality.
To excel in this role, ideal candidate should possess the following experience and qualities:
- Experience: Minimum 2-3 years experience in retail/product operations and proven experience in order processing, customer service or related field within a retail environment.
- Adaptability: Able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with the ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Customer Service Skills: Personable, motivated, team player, and excellent customer service skills. Contribute to a positive work environment by demonstrating a strong work ethic, teamwork, and a customer-centric mindset.
- Organization: Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Platform Proficiency: Experience with ordering management systems (Walmart Link) and ERP software Netsuite.
- Knowledge: Knowledge of retail industry practices, supply chain operations, and inventory management concepts is a plus.
