Position Overview: Lead Carpenter
The Lead Carpenter at 3RC Services is responsible for executing various construction and repair tasks, including installations, demolitions, and replacements to complete Project Work Orders. This role involves project surveying, client communication, minor subcontractor coordination, and quality control, while leading team members with minimal oversight. The position reports directly to the Project Manager. Competencies include knowledge of property maintenance, rough and finish carpentry, the ability to read building plans, experience with Pre-Engineered Metal Buildings, and experience working in healthcare and medical facilities.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Trade-Related Services:
· Perform repairs, installations, demolitions, and replacements of various materials.
· Complete assigned Project Work Orders efficiently and accurately.
· Apply general knowledge of property maintenance, rough and finish carpentry, including wood and light gauge steel framing, wallboard installation and finishing, millwork, cabinetry, and flooring.
Project Surveying:
· Conduct site measurements and capture detailed photographs.
· Determine project scope, required materials, manpower needs, and logistics.
· Read and interpret building plans, including structural and MEP systems.
Client Communication:
· Maintain follow-up communication with clients to ensure project alignment and satisfaction.
Subcontractor Coordination:
· Coordinate minor subcontractor activities in collaboration with Project Managers.
Team Leadership:
· Lead and supervise team members with minimal oversight, ensuring high-quality work and adherence to project timelines.
Quality Control:
· Implement and maintain quality control measures throughout the project lifecycle.
Additional Duties:
· Perform other duties as deemed necessary to support the successful completion of projects.
· Utilize experience with Pre-Engineered Metal Buildings when applicable.
Previous Experience and Skills Required:
· Semi-Advanced knowledge of property maintenance, repairs and construction
· Experience with pre-engineered metal buildings (preferred)
· Ability to read and interpret building plans including structural and MEP's
· 1-3 Years of supervisory experience (preferred)
· Good Verbal and Written Communication Skills
· Ability to learn, use and maintain work calendar and other office applications (Microsoft 365, Google Suite, ProCore, etc.)
Education:
· High School Diploma or GED
Travel and Other Expectations:
· Must have a valid driver’s license
· Reliable personal transportation
· Basic Hand Tools
· Use of a personal cell phone is required
· Submit and pass a background check
· Ability to travel up to 90-minutes from Brandy Station, VA to various project locations
· Ability to travel overnight for potential out-of-town projects
· Access to internet for reporting
· Ability to complete OSHA 30 – Construction Training
· Ability to complete First Aid/CPR Training
Schedule:
· Monday through Friday: Regular hours
· On-call: As required
· Weekends: As needed
· Occasional evening/off hours: As needed.
