Position Responsibilities
- Greeting patients/customers/visitors
- Facilitating check in & check out process
- Scheduling/Confirming appointments
- Maintaining all office schedules
- Verifying & retrieving insurance benefits
- Accurately entering information into computer system
- Ensuring doctor's schedule remains full
- Providing excellent customer service
- Managing inbound/outbound calls
- Administrative duties (copying, faxing, scanning, ordering supplies, etc.)
- Collecting & processing payments
- Timely responding to patient phone calls, voice mails & texts
- Timely & accurately documenting all patient communication
- Preparing patients for the doctor
- Obtaining patient ocular & medical history
- Documenting chief complaints
- Providing education for patients & their family members
- Ordering contact lenses
- Executing daily financial reports
- Assisting in marketing activities
- Cross training into other areas of the office
- Performing any other duties as deemed necessary
