Department Overview:
The Infrastructure Sponsor Coverage (“ISC”) platform enhances our global coverage of infrastructure equity investors by increasing collaboration across the Sector Coverage organisation and Products. This is so the bank reflects how our clients themselves define the infrastructure asset class which spans multiple sectors: Infrastructure Finance, Transport & Logistics, Energy as well as Telecoms, Media, Technology & Healthcare.
Main Duties and Responsibilities of Role:
The ISC team is seeking a professional who enjoys working in an international environment across multiple Sector and Product teams within the bank. As an Associate within ISC Americas team you will work closely with commercial front office colleagues and play a key role in supporting the delivery of banking services to our infrastructure equity clients such as KKR, GIP, and Macquarie.
Your role and work environment:

You will work directly with the Americas Lead ISC to drive co-ordination of ISC activities across the region ;

You will liaise with colleagues across the bank to enhance coverage of infrastructure sponsors including Parent Account Managers / Local Account Managers, ISC leads, Sector Coverage and Product teams; and

You will play a key role in execution of the infrastructure sponsor coverage strategy to increase revenues and cross-buy built around three pillars – deepening client knowledge, driving transactions and increasing ING’s market presence.
Your key responsibilities:

To support the Americas Lead ISC in driving the enhancement of investor coverage in all its aspects;

Attendance at client meetings and the taking/distribution of meeting notes and capturing in Salesforce;

Key role in the development of tailored client account plans for priority sponsors with input from PAMs and ISC Leads;

Mapping of existing/desired global connections for priority infrastructure sponsors to deepen personal relationships with clients;
-
Preparation of monthly presentation materials for Americas platform meeting; distribution of materials, notes/minutes taking – record keeping; follow-up on action items;

Monthly deep-dive analysis of selected priority sponsor for understanding the evolution of client strategies;

Tracking of equity fund life maturities as well as new funds being raised by Sponsors for dedicated infrastructure investments, to identify potential financing/refinancing opportunities, M&A pipeline and associated opportunities including capital call facilities and unsecured FX hedging;

Play an important role in the preparation of biannual ISC updates for internal circulation detailing activities of the ISC platform and key market trends;

Co-ordination of updating of ISC work-in-progress global database ensuring that ISC leads record all active, closed, declined and missed deals in Americas region;

Preparation of updates for client meetings showcasing ING cross Sector/Product capability;

Input and maintenance of investor contacts in Salesforce;

Input into content creation and delivery of external client-facing events; and

Attendance at infrastructure industry events.
Desirable experience:
At least three years of general banking experience or transaction experience preferably working with infrastructure equity sponsors or private equity funds.

Candidate Profile
Qualification/Education
Essential: Minimum GPA 3.75 or above from a leading US or international university
Desirable: Professional qualification e.g. CFA, CPA

Essential: Curiosity and assertiveness to develop knowledge across all infrastructure-related sectors and products globally, attention to detail, well-organised, logical, inquisitive, ability to work independently or as part of a team, ability to multitask and prioritise.
Base Salary Range: $130K-$135K
