Reports to: Housekeeping Manager
Weekly Work Hours: Full time
Shift Times: As is typical to the hospitality industry, staff require the flexibility to work a range of shift times (morning, day, evening) and all days of week (7 days a week / Sunday – Monday availability) including weekends and holiday's
Pay Type: Salary
Responsibilities include:
- Communication with Housekeeping Manager and/or HM regarding daily HSKP tasks
- Upholding hotel cleanliness standards with outsourced labor provider
- Support Housekeeping Manager to ensure departments goals, cleanliness standards and assigned projects are upheld and accomplished.
- Scheduling of employees, ensuring adequate staff available
- Conduct room inspections and provide feedback to outsourcer team as necessary
- Making recommendations and participating in decision-making re
- Acting as Department Head when the Housekeeping Manager is off or on vacation
- Liaising with other departments re: Housekeeping needs and requirements
- Purchasing
- Laundry transactions, include billing and inventory
- Logging found items in Lost & Found Log
- Ordering items and processing invoices (if assigned)
- Opening and closing of Housekeeping, specifically room assignments and cleaning
- Inspection of public places to determine cleaning schedule
- Attending daily, weekly and other leadership meeting as directed
- Other duties as assigned
- Minimum 2-year Assistant Housekeeping and/or Housekeeping Supervisor management experience
- Fluent in English, bilingual candidates (English/Spanish) preferred
