Wastewater Plant Junior Operator or Operator in Training
N2W has immediate full-time plant operator opportunities in Orange County and San Diego County, California locations. The ideal candidate would at minimum have completed and received their high school diploma or equivalent. The successful candidate will have experience in operating and maintaining complex industrial equipment with an emphasis on water and wastewater treatment technologies. Prior experience and knowledge in the water and wastewater industry is preferred. Candidate must be a quick learner with strong written and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Operate, inspect, and maintain wastewater treatment equipment consistent with permit requirements.
- Collect and calculate wastewater operations and control data.
- Gather samples and conduct wastewater laboratory tests.
- Adjust facility controls to maintain required operating standards.
- Perform general equipment inspection, maintenance, minor equipment repair, and adjustments.
- Ensure monthly monitoring limits are met in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Follow standard operating procedures, emergency plans, and state and federal codes.
Experience:
- Prior experience in wastewater treatment is preferred.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Ability to relocate.
- Willingness to work swing and/or graveyard shifts.
- Agree to work overtime hours when needed.
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.
- Able to pass a basic background check.
