Helping Hands for Children is a provider of Applied Behavior Analysis services in Miami-Dade County. Our focus is to support our clients and their families through intensive, comprehensive interventions that help improve functioning at home, school, and in the community. We provide services across the lifespan for clients with diagnoses such as Autism Spectrum, ADHD, Oppositional defiant, and Conduct disorder among others. We are currently looking for a Behavior Analyst certified by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board. We have active cases in Miami Dade County that require staffing. Other cases are available for initial evaluation (Commercial and Medicaid insurance clients).
Job Description
Minimum Qualifications:
Education, Training, and Experience:
-Possess a graduate-level certification in behavior analysis (approved through the board’s various pathways). Functions as a professional certified at the BCBA level through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board and is an independent practitioner.
-A minimum of 1 year of experience in working with children, adolescents, and/or adults with various special needs.
- Fully Bilingual. Is able to work with English-speaking clients and caregivers.
Other Requirements:
· Medicaid provider ID in good standing
- Completed CAQH application
· At least 2 years of experience in the field of Behavior Analysis
· Work ethics and integrity. Displays commitment to clients and their families.
· Follows BACB code of ethics and federal/state laws
· Reliable transportation
· Receptive to feedback
· All training and in-services required by AHCA and other regulatory agencies
Job Duties:
- As an Independent Contractor, provides consultation and intervention regarding behavior management, effective education, and assessment of behavioral needs of clients with and without disabilities. Is proficient in conducting functional behavioral assessments and design. Is able to implement and monitor behavior intervention plans.
- Provide direct behavioral services to clients in individual and group sessions
- Develop and oversee ABA home/school/other programs and provide parent training and support
- Complete all required documentation within field standards and payor requirements
- Conduct behavioral and skills assessments and design treatment programs for clients
- Work with and oversee Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analysts and Registered Behavior Technicians to implement individualized treatment plans as per agency standards and BACB requirements
- Collect data and graph data as instructed using technological programs, such as Microsoft Excel or behavioral software (such as ABA Matrix©).
- Conducts required behavioral assessments as indicated by authorization requirements.
- Maintain respect and confidentiality for all clients
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; and participating in professional societies
- Maintain and protect the well-being of all clients during treatment sessions and when emergency crisis situations arise
- Knowledge of medical billing for ABA and insurance requirements is preferred
- Communicate client progress and cases to the Program manager
- Be able to work with a diverse team of professionals to provide the best behavioral services possible to clients
- Attend staff training and agency meetings voluntarily
- Other job duties as assigned by the Program Manager or Executive Director

Pay: $70.00 - $76.00 per hour
