Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Coordinator to join our team. The Purchasing Coordinator will be responsible for managing procurement activities, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring timely delivery of goods.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate purchasing activities and maintain accurate records of purchases.
- Source and evaluate suppliers based on quality, price, and delivery speed.
- Negotiate contracts and terms with vendors to secure advantageous terms.
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders as needed to meet demand.
- Collaborate with internal teams to forecast supply needs and prevent shortages.
- Utilize MRP systems to track orders and manage inventory levels.
- Oversee logistics and shipping processes to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Fabricate reports on purchasing activities, cost savings, and vendor performance.
Requirements:
- Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Proven experience in procurement management, sourcing, and negotiating contracts.
- Familiarity with Oracle EBS or similar procurement software.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate supplier proposals.
- Knowledge of logistics operations and supply chain management principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective vendor relationships.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
