We are currently looking for a friendly and competent Teacher Assistant to join our team. In this position, you will be responsible for supervising students, developing lesson plans, preparing lesson material, and maintaining classroom tidiness alongside a classroom lead teacher. Teacher Assistant Responsibilities:
1. Work with the lead teacher to monitor the class schedule.
2. Assist teachers with lesson preparation by getting materials ready and setting up equipment.
3. Revise lesson material with students individually or in small groups.
4. Ensure the classroom environment is safe and clean.
5. Oversee students during non-classroom times including in-between classes, during lunch, and on field excursions.
6. Collaborate with lead teachers to recognize issues students are facing and recommend solutions.
7. Document student progress.
8. Help lead teachers to create lesson plans.
9. Comply with state, school, and class rules and regulations.
10. Attend all training classes, parent conferences, and faculty meetings.
11. Lead small group sessions.
12. Assist in managing student behaviors.
13. Stepping in as a substitute when needed.
14. Assisting with cleanup and organization.
15. Other duties as assigned by:
A. Administration.
B. Lead Teacher.
C. Grade level Chair.
Teacher Assistant Requirements:
1.You must have at least 60 semester credits, or an associates degree or higher from a regionally accredited college/university
2. Bachelor’s degree in Education or relevant field is preferred.
3. Substitute teaching license
4. Solid understanding of classroom activities and teaching best practices.
5. Must have a compassionate and positive attitude.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
7. Outstanding interpersonal and presentation abilities.
8. This positions requires a high level of energy and may be physically demanding.
Bilingual candidates preferred.
