Ridgeview Industries is a leading metal stamping and assembly supplier primarily serving the automotive market. Our privately held and employee owned company, founded upon Christian principles, currently employs approximately 600 team members across 4 plant locations.
We are seeking an experienced Sales Engineer to work on-site at our Grand Rapids, MI. location with a customer service attitude and a positive personality. The ideal candidate for this role will have the following credentials.
Primary responsibilities:
· Review new customer drawings for technical feasibility
· Provide Account Management with information regarding technical open issues for quote input
· Negotiate tolerance and print requirements with customers
· Kick off newly awarded programs with internal staff
· Track and approve final math data/GD&T/Drawings
· Meet with customers on open program issues
· Markup or create GD&T for subcomponents of assemblies
· Pursue cost reduction activities
· Review/Verify weld maps
· Develop preliminary spatter maps
· Provide support to RVI quality group
· Special assignments as requested
Qualifications:
· BS Engineering preferred, will consider appropriate level of experience
· In depth knowledge of the tool and die making process
· Understanding of stamping and manufacturing process
· Minimum of 3 – 5 years of relevant experience
· Comfortable in a customer facing situation
· Excellent communication skills
