What is my day to day like?
As a Maintenance Planner, you will play a pivotal role in the effective planning and scheduling of maintenance tasks on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis; ensuring systematic reconciliation of time and materials upon job completion is a crucial aspect of your role. Your day to day will include but is not limited to:
Work Planning:
* Manage a backlog of non-emergency maintenance work orders to ensure timely and efficient execution.
* Evaluate work orders, making informed decisions on whether tasks should be handled in-house or externally.
* Coordinate contractor schedules and oversee the management of purchase orders related to external tasks.
* Develop comprehensive Bill of Materials (BOM), outlining skill level requirements, procedures, drawings, and time estimates for each job.
* Coordinate with the Crib Attendant and MRO Buyer to create BOM kits prior to work being scheduled.
* Facilitate the systematic reconciliation of time and materials upon the completion of each job.
Work Scheduling:
* Coordinate with the Operations Scheduler for long-term planning and Operations Supervisors for short-term scheduling of planned work.
* Monitor and manage a detailed schedule of planned tasks for each technician to effectively balance workloads.
* Deliver daily updates on both short-term and long-term schedules during maintenance meetings.
* Track and report adherence to schedules, identifying reasons for any deviations.
* Regularly report and address the backlog of work orders to ensure optimal workflow management.
Continuous Improvement :
* Establish standardized procedures for routine tasks to enhance efficiency and consistency.
* Identify opportunities to reduce time and labor on internal/external work orders

* 3+ Years experience working manufacturing environment
* Experience with SAP PM and Work Order Management
* Superior organization and time management skills
* Excellent communication and facilitation skills
* Knowledge of manufacturing environment including current compliance requirements for safety and quality.
