Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Quext Chief Executive Officer, the Vice President of Sales will be responsible for directing and managing all aspect of the sales function within the company – developing and executing sales strategies, expanding market share, and growing revenue in collaboration with the Quext executive leadership team. The VP of Sales will lead our national sales team and be responsible for generating revenue and growth across the entire U.S.
Responsibilities
Sales Strategy Development:
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies aligned with the company's overall business goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with senior management to align sales strategies with overall business objectives.
- Analyze market trends, customer insights, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for growth and differentiation.
- Define sales targets, quotas, and performance metrics to measure progress and drive accountability.
- Assist the Chief Marketing Officer by contributing customer insights for presentations and materials to all customers – property staffs, company executives, and prospects.
Team Leadership and Management:
- Lead by recruiting, mentoring, and empowering the sales team to achieve individual and collective sales goals through product education, product synergies, and presentation development.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, excellence, and continuous improvement within the sales team for high-performance.
- Establish clear performance metrics, KPIs, and sales targets to drive accountability and results. Includes evaluating the sales team technical knowledge on products being sold.
Sales Operations Management:
- Oversee sales forecasting, budgeting, and resource allocation to optimize sales efficiency and effectiveness.
- Implement sales processes, systems, and tools to streamline operations and enhance productivity.
- Ensure alignment and coordination between sales, marketing, customer service, and other relevant departments.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders.
- Drive customer satisfaction, retention, and loyalty through strategic account management and exceptional service.
- Identify opportunities to upsell, cross-sell, and expand business with existing customers.
Performance Analysis and Reporting:
- Monitor sales performance, pipeline activity, and market trends to assess performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Conduct regular sales reviews, performance evaluations, and sales forecasting to track progress against targets.
- Prepare and present sales reports, analyses, and recommendations to senior management and board of directors.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or related field; MBA or equivalent preferred.
- Proven track record of success in sales leadership roles, with extensive experience in driving revenue growth and market expansion.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and influence others.
- Strategic thinker with a data-driven and results-oriented approach to sales management.
- In-depth knowledge of sales methodologies, techniques, and best practices.
- Experience in managing sales teams, developing sales strategies, and implementing sales processes.
- Proficiency in sales CRM software and other sales productivity tools (ex. Salesforce).
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing business needs.
