Women and Children Counselor - FT
LMSW, LPC, LMFT, with the additional LCDC
Responsible for client caseload, including individual and group counseling sessions, documentation of client progress and participation, treatment plans and reviews, and discharge planning. Enforces house and community rules, manage crisis situations, and provides assessment, orientation, and education, as appropriate. Supervise interns and practicum students as assigned.
Responsibilities
CONDUCTS orientation to program.
DEVELOPS psychosocial history and treatment plans for clients within the time frame specified in the program level of service.
MAINTAINS client files according to HHSC and Joint Commission standards.
MAINTAINS referral logs in the client record.
FACILITATES individual, family, and group sessions to include alcohol and drug education, as assigned by Program Director.
PARTICIPATES in consultation with the treatment team and other appropriate agency departments to accomplish treatment goals.
REMAINS CURRENT with community resources.
COMPLETES all required and relevant documents, including documentation of client services.
SUPERVISES self-administration of client medication as needed.
PERFORMS room searches and/or urine drug screens as needed.
ATTENDS weekly staff meetings and monthly All Staff meetings.
MAINTAIN program rules and participate in house/community government.
ACTS as a liaison between program and individuals or agencies providing psychiatric treatment to clients.
PROVIDES required documentation to utilization reviewers for coordination of client care.
RESPONSIBLE for completing all discharge paperwork within the time frame established by agency policy and submit to the appropriate person/department.
SUPERVISES interns and practicum students and completes any required evaluations.

Qualifications
Current unencumbered clinical licensure in the State of Texas preferred LMSW, LPC, LMFT, with the additional LCDC. New graduates are encouraged to apply. Associates licensures will be considered.
