Job Summary:
The Supervisor, Warehouse Operations serves as a pivotal role within the Supply Chain organization and will supervise and lead the warehouse operations team to ensure employee safety and operational efficiency. Your responsibilities encompass shipping, receiving, material movements and presentation, system transactions, supports a culture of continuous improvement in labor efficiency, service levels, housekeeping, and inventory transactional integrity.
This position is based in LaGrange, TX and will report to the Materials Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
· Supervision and Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of warehouse associates, providing direction, training, and feedback to ensure high levels of performance and morale. Develop, Implement, and Enforce optimal operational policies and procedures for warehouse operations.
· Inventory Management: Oversee the accurate receipt, storage, and tracking of incoming and outgoing inventory, utilizing inventory management systems to maintain accurate records.
· Quality Control: Implement and enforce quality control procedures to ensure the integrity of stored goods and timely identification of any discrepancies or issues.
· Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies, conducting regular safety inspections and addressing any hazards or concerns promptly.
§ Operational Efficiency: Manage stock control and reconcile with ERP/WMS systems, in conjunction with continually evaluating and calculating the physical space and layout for maximum space optimization, with the goal to drive improvement and support operational efficiency.
· Customer Service: Coordinate with the customer service team to fulfill orders accurately and efficiently, resolving any customer inquiries or issues related to warehouse operations.
· Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyor systems, to ensure safe and reliable operation.
· Reporting and Analysis: Generate regular reports on warehouse performance metrics, such as inventory levels, order fulfillment rates, and labor productivity, and identify areas for improvement. Establish and implement Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for performance management of the warehouse operations and team.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
· 8-10 years of warehousing and/or materials work experience required, with 3-5yrs supervisory experience.
· Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively coach and develop a diverse team.
· Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
· Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications.
· Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations.
· Forklift certification and experience operating material handling equipment preferred.
