Business Development Representative
Overview:
Join our dynamic team as a Business Development Representative, where you will play a crucial role in driving growth and expanding our market presence. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing routine sales visits to create interpersonal relationships, gather marketing intelligence , and understand new oppounities. Flexible position - May work 9 hours days M-Thursday with every other Friday off.
Responsibilities:
1. Establish and maintain positive relationships with Clayton’s existing customer base.
2. Prospect for new customers.
3. Visit US domestic customer base on a regular basis (1-2 times per year) to build relationships, develop an understanding of new opportunities with customers, and act as a liaison between Clayton Engineering and Quality groups for customers.
4. Manage existing customer line extension projects or variances to existing products.
5. Assist with developing cohesive marketing strategy for Clayton’s existing and new products which include website, email, internet, trade show and other marketing channels, as necessary.
6. Work directly with Clayton’s graphics, website, and trade show vendors to create and approve artwork.
7. Work with business development team to identify underserved markets and determine methods to access these markets through various marketing channels.
8. Attend trade shows and conferences both domestically and internationally 3-4 times per year.
Education/Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Marketing, Business or equivalent work experience.
- At least 3 years experience in B2B sales and/or marketing
- Excellent communication skills to effectively convey product benefits
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team-
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Products.
