The Senior Cybersecurity Analyst will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and supporting our robust IT security systems to protect our organization from cyber threats. The analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our systems and data.
JOB EXPECTATIONS/DUTIES
Security Systems Design, Implementation, and Support:
- Collaborate with the IT team to design, deploy, and support effective security solutions, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and network security protocols.
- Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability assessments to identify potential security gaps.
- Collaborate with the Manager of Cyber Security to develop and implement security policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Incident Response and Analysis:
- Monitor and analyze security incidents, including malware outbreaks, unauthorized access attempts, and data breaches.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents promptly.
- Provide recommendations for improving incident response processes.
Security Awareness and Training:
- Educate employees on security best practices and raise awareness about potential threats.
- Conduct security training sessions and workshops.
Security Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (such as NIST) and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in audits and assessments related to cybersecurity.
Security Operations:
- Collaborate with the Security Operations Center (SOC) team to enhance threat detection and incident response capabilities.
- Participate in security incident handling and resolution.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in cybersecurity, computer science, information systems, or a related field.
- 7 years minimum experience in cybersecurity roles, with a focus on security analysis, risk management, and incident response.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH are preferred and highly desirable.
- Proficiency in using security tools and technologies (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls).
- Familiarity with penetration testing tools.
- Knowledge of encryption protocols, network protocols, and secure coding practices.
- Experience deploying and managing tools supporting Cyber Security portfolios like Managed Detect & Response
- Ability to analyze security incidents, assess risks, and recommend effective solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
