Job Description:
A Pastry Cook requires good communication and culinary skills. The desired candidate will have solid previous baking experience and the ability to work all different positions within a pastry shop that facilitates 5 outlets, banquets and the employee cafeteria.
- The Pastry Cook’s responsibilities include preparing quality pastry items such as breakfast items, desserts, breads, ice creams, sorbets, cakes, mousses, custards, amenities, and special request items.
- Meet with the Pastry Chef to review assignments, anticipated business levels, changes and other information pertinent to the job performance.
- Follow all prep lists, EOs, and recipes.
- Inspect the cleanliness and working conditions of all tools, equipment and supplies.
- Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment; use equipment and tools only as intended, properly and safely
Job Requirements:
* Must have good working knowledge of food quality, hygiene and sanitation, kitchen safety, food presentation and be familiar with OSHA requirements;
* ServSafe certified preferred;
* Must be energetic, have a desire to learn, have a positive attitude and a passion for four-star hospitality;
* Must be able to stand for the duration of shift;
* Must be available to work flexible shifts, including weekends & holidays;
* Must have or be willing to obtain Clark County Health District card.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
